This rodeo is a major stop on the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) circuit. It's purse of more than $150,000 makes it the 2nd largest rodeo in Colorado (after Denver's National Western Stock Show), and 19th largest in North America. Events are held at Penrose Stadium, 1045 W. Rio Grande Avenue off of Fountain Creek Boulevard. Various events around the city, including a parade and a street breakfast, mark rodeo week. With more than $500,000 available in prize money, this is one of the world's richest rodeos.
